Burnsville, NC

Burnsville is a small mountain town and set of Yancey county. I have lived here and pray I never have to return to this place. Mount Mitchell, in the zip code of Burnsville, is pretty neat though.

Burnsville Town Area

Burnsville is the county seat, and only municipality, in Yancey County. It sits in the Cane River valley between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Black Mountains. The town's elevation is about 2,700 feet. The highest point in Yancey County is Mount Mitchell, at 6,684 feet.
