Lenoir, NC

Lenoir is the seat of Caldwell county and is nestled in a valley between the Brushy mountains and the Blue Ridge mountains. It is an old furniture town that is trying to reinvent itself. A good springboard to some neat places.

Bee Mountain

Bee Mountain is a "mountain" in Caldwell County just outside of Lenoir. There are fantastic views of the landfill from here.

Hibriten Mountain Trail

This trail uses a NC forest service road to climb to the top of the mountain. It was longer than I thought but not too hard. During Christmas, there is a star illuminated on the mountaintop. During Easter, there is a cross.
